Taylor Thomas joined the Office of Undergraduate Studies in May 2024. Although this is her first time in Mendoza, she is not new to Notre Dame and has been connected both professionally and academically since 2021. She has previously worked in the University Counseling Center and Graduate Student Life. Outside of Notre Dame, she was an Academic Advisor at Ivy Tech for Business, IT, and Human Services students. Working with college students - particularly international, first-generation, and multicultural students - is one of Taylor's passions. No matter how varied and diverse her professional background, students have always been her first priority.
Taylor holds a BA in Psychology from Saint Mary's College (Go Belles!), an MA in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University (Chirp Chirp!), and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!). She was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, though she dreads winter and snow. When she is not working, Taylor will talk for hours about her 2 rescue dogs, Bella and Buster, her many nieces and nephews, and her husband, Herschel. She enjoys writing, reading, and is obsessed with the tv show, Bob's Burgers (as others are welcome to see from her office decorations).
