CPT Visa Information


Information for Undergraduate Students in the Mendoza College of Business

Undergraduate students in the Mendoza College of Business are allowed to use the CPT work authorization up to two times with BAUG 37000 as the corresponding course. This course is worth one credit and is strictly limited to rising juniors and seniors.

Students must comply with all requirements from the Office of International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA) concerning the CPT Visa: https://issa.nd.edu/students/f-1-students/f-1-employment/curricular-practical-training/

In addition to the ISSA requirements for the CPT, after identifying a faculty member and defining the scope of the special study, students must complete the Internship Application for Academic Credit and submit prior to the last day of classes in the term prior to the special study.

Students will receive approval on the CPT application and approval for the academic credit concurrently. BAUG 37000 will be added to the student’s summer schedule. There is no cost associated with the summer internship credit however, students will initially be billed then credited for the Internship class in the summer term.
