As you may know, these courses are designed and taught by some of Notre Dame's most experienced and effective instructors. They combine live weekly meetings with asynchronous coursework and are limited in size to ensure appropriate contact between students and faculty. Instructors receive special pedagogical training for this mode of instruction, and if last year's pilot program is any indication, our students enjoy the courses immensely. 

Please note a few features of this program:

• all courses have been designed by regular Notre Dame faculty and approved by the offering departments;

• all courses have the same academic standards, workload requirements, expectations and policies as regular-year Notre Dame courses;

• all instructors are Notre Dame faculty or Ph.D students;

• almost all of these courses meet live in the evenings in order to permit working students to enroll;

• there is no financial aid except in the case of CSE 44648 Data Science;

• students register, enroll, and pay their bills through the regular ND Summer Sessions process;

• students seeking transfer credit may wish to choose these Notre Dame courses instead, as most of them carry University Requirements.
