Initiatives

MSLA is always working to develop exciting new initiatives to benefit business students. Some are designed to build a stronger Mendoza community and others target developing specific skill sets that will help ensure success in the business world. We encourage you to take advantage of as many as you can fit in.

 Business Club Fair

On August 27, 2018, MSLA sponsored a business club fair in the Mendoza Atrium for First Year students and Sophomores. Activities Night can be a little overwhelming with the hundreds of clubs all clamoring for your attention, so this event was less overwhelming and, consequently, very productive for the many students that stopped by. Clubs in attendance included: SIBC, Unleashed, Smart Women Securities, Investment Club, Corporate Finance Club, Marketing Club, Undergraduate Women in Business and more!

Dinners With Professors

Our longest running and most popular initiative invites students into Professor's home to share a meal and scintillating conversation. MSLA sponsors approximately one dozen dinners each academic year, each involving six students and a faculty member. Students are chosen through a lottery system.

Workshops

This fall MSLA sponsored 2 workshops to help add to your job skills: Intro to R Coding and Fundamentals of Business Presentations. If you have ideas for more workshops that would be useful, please email your suggestion to msla@nd.edu and we will try to make it happen!

Mendoza Merchandise

We're proud to be part of a top rated business school. MSLA holds one sale per semester offering items that help you show your business school pride. Items may be purchased through our online store at ND Marketplace. Past items have included quarter zips, long-sleeve tees, tank tops, baseball caps and pint glasses. Stay tuned to find out what MSLA is selling next semester.

Events planned for Spring 2018 include more Dinners With Professors, a Skills for the Real World lecture series, a Faculty Appreciation event and info sessions for FY business intents.
